Welcome to our experiment in online collaboration.

We believe that collaboration is key to maximizing productivity and learning.

Our goal is to design an online workspace that reduces time, geography, and communication barriers for collaboration by:

>>> Testing tools that allow you to contribute ideas when it is most convenient to you

>>> Testing tools that support collaboration among those of you in different buildings, cities, and states.

>>> Testing health literacy, plain language, and usability principles to make it easier for you to quickly and easily find and work with each other despite the different disciplines and different walks of life from where you come

Today, we have two pilot communities on this test space:

Health Communication & Health IT for Healthy People 2020, which is made up of stakeholders in health communication and health information technology who are collaborating to develop objectives for Healthy People 2020.
HHS Center for New Media Facebook Team, which is composed of HHS staff across the Department coming together to learn about how to best use the social networking site Facebook in their work.
